The catch?

On the premiere episode of Roadkill, Hot Rod's David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan head to El Paso, TX with money and a mission - to find a car they can buy, fix up, and drive back to Los Angeles. The catch? They only have $1500 bucks to do it.

Site update

I was recently going through some of my old pics when I realized that there are a bunch of shows from 2000 to 2003 that I didn't post all of the Wet T-Shirt/Bikini contests and/or assorted girls flashing.  The web host I had at that time was very strict and I didn't want to chance losing the site.  Over the next few months I will be restoring some of that "Lost Footage" to TRUCKRUN dot NET.  These pictures will be in a higher resolution from the other pics of the time and will also have the newer watermark on them.  I actually updated one of the shows from 2002 last night.

Bring The Noize

Bring the Noize was a blast!  I always enjoy making it out to this show.  I made the 5 1/2 hour drive to Glendale, checked into my room, got something to eat and then headed out to the show to take some preview pictures.  Once thos pics were done I was just getting ready to head out when the DJ says that the wet t-shirt contest is coming up at 11:00 pm.  That's just 15 minutes away.  For those of you that know me there was no option of leaving after hearing that.  I checked with the DJ and he said that there was at least one girl signed up for sure.  By 11:15 pm they finally had two girls signed up when their handlers came out and said that the only way the girls would come out is if there were no video or pictures.  Seriously?  WTF?  In all honesty I have nothing but respect for the girls who can get on stage and shake their thang for any kind of contest.  Bikini or wet t-shirt.  But seriously, no pictures or video?  Everybody agreed and then they came out in the freezing cold and did their thing.  All things considered, they did a pretty good job.  And by the way, you can view pictures here.

I went back to my room after that and uploaded the preview pics to the website and then went to sleep.  Once I woke up and got my self ready I headed out to the show.  There were plenty of quality rides out there but there looked to be about 100 vehicles less than last year which was kinda sad to see.  I would like to thank Bill Montgomery for helping me to shoot the show so that I could shoot some video as well.

I hung out with some old friends, made some new friends and then headed home.  Like I said, it was a blast and I look forward to next year's show.

The Compact Disc is an optical disc used to store digital data. It was originally developed to store and playback sound recordings exclusively, but later expanded to encompass storage of data (CD-ROM). Audio CDs and audio CD players have been commercially available since October 1982. From a technical standpoint, a CD is made from 1.2 millimetres (0.047 in) thick, polycarbonate plastic and weighs 15–20 grams. Gotye

For whatever reason I am totally in love with the Gotye song "Somebody that I used to know".  Video here.  Awesome cover by Walk off the Earth - here.  I recorded the Jimmy Kimmel Live show just so I could see him perform that song.  Here's the point of this whole thing.  I could barely hear a word that he sang!  How hard is it to turn up the gain on his mic?  Is nobody listening in the sound booth?  I'm a computer nerd and I know to push up the slide thing on the big board that controls his mic.  How do these people keep their jobs?  I assume they are getting paid to push that little slider thing around.

That's it.  That's all I have to bitch about.  Definitely a first world problem to be sure.
